What is Kiwanis Kids?
The Kiwanis Kids Triathlon Series allows
young athletes to experience the fun and excitement
of triathlon. It's a morning of friendly competition and
physical activity that can lead to a lifetime of
fitness. The year's races are open to kids with
birth years from 2001-2006.
What is Triathlon?
Triathlon is an exciting sport for young athletes
because it involves three activities that every child
enjoys - swimming, cycling and running.
For more than 16 years, Kiwanis Clubs
in the Greater Houston area have sponsored
races in the Kiwanis Kids Triathlon Series.
Race Details
Participants race by "age groupings" determined by
their birth year -- 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002,
and 2001. Birth years 2006, 2005 and 2004 swim 50M,
bike 1 mile and run 1/4 mile. The distances are doubled for
birth years 2003, 2002 and 2001.

This year's Kiwanis Kids Triathlon Series will once again utilize
chip timing, provided by Run Houston Timing.
What do Participants Receive?
Every participant receives a t-shirt, goodie bag and finisher's medal.
The top three boys and girls in each age grouping receive a trophy.
What are the entry fees?
Pre-registration is $25. Race day registration is $30.
You may pre-register online (click on race schedule for links)
or choose walk-up registration on race day. Be aware that
registration is limited and some races sell out before race day.
Participants Must Join USA Triathlon
All participants must join USA Triathlon to race in the
Kiwanis Kids Triathlon series. You may join on race
day, but we strongly encourage you to join ahead of time.
If possible, join USA Triathlon FIRST and then register
online for the race. Annual memberships for youth
